Magazine and Contents Evaluation
After completing the task of creating a school magazine and contents page I have evaluated it.
My magazine contains everything that a media magazine should in different ways, my front cover contains a bar code, issue date, price and date which you can see on any magazine cover. My headline was created using the font tool but could be improved, the layout of the front cover could also be improved and the sublines. The contents page could be improved a lot. The page numbers dont stand out as much as they should and the layout isnt correct, the layout isnt as normal as any normal magazine. The main image is bigger than the rest which is correct to show that it is the main image for the main article.
I used two programmes to create the front cover and contents, these were photoshop and quark. I had used photoshop before so I was familiar with the tools and how to use it. However I was new to QuarkXPress.
I think one of my strengths was using photoshop because I can use it confidently and create quality products. I think a weakness of mine is using QuarkXPress because I havnt used it before but I think if I practise on it then I could improve
